10.5 miles (16.8 km), 26C (~79F)…a warm, beautiful, blue-skied Saturday. I started at the Tarpon Springs Public Library and ended at Main Street in Dunedin. The trail went mostly off the roads, and was tree-lined with more shade than yesterday. It wound back onto the roads about 3 miles outside of Dunedin, but only for a short stretch.
Lots of cyclists today, and the walkers/runners picked up as we approached Dunedin. There were also many small cafes and bars for cyclists to call into along the last mile or so. Dunedin is a lovely town and worth a longer visit on its own. I’ve been there a few times so didn’t linger, and forgot to take photos - darn. Mom did the pick up and drop off today. I also forgot to get our selfie!
Didn’t see much wildlife- at least none of the big hitters. Also didn’t talk to anyone, although most people call out a greeting. Enjoyed the walk, nonetheless.
If you walk:
There are more frequent stopping options than yesterday, but you still may go a few miles in between.
The trail walks near the water, but not along it. Next time I will cut over to the coast when approaching Dunedin.

Lots of signage:

The trail was not along the ocean, but we got close at times. Some sightings:

If you’ve been in the area, you’ll know that the coast, beaches, and water are stunning in this part of Florida.
